Omnix was contracted to develop a solution for adding dynamic language translation capabilities to an existing software product. This software was comprised of more than 30 different components developed under Microsoft Windows, each with their own resources. The customer was not interested in the standard solution of having to create and maintain multiple language resources for each of these components. Utilizing our experience and skills with database development and software development concepts, Omnix was able to develop a mechanism that allowed the components' resources to remain unmodified, and required minimal changes to the software without affecting any of the logic. As a result, the language displayed by each component of the application was determined at run-time automatically by the system's locale settings.
